We’re back on the venue with the longest tradition in World Cup circuit – Mont-Sainte-Anne! Race weekend started with DH qualifications, but later in the Friday afternoon we already got first race, the short track. Tanja was still tired from the trip from Scotland, but started with great motivation and came to 14th place on the end, in fact that is her best one in XCC.
She had a decent start and was in the middle of the bunch. The whole race was all about power riding up the climbs, there were no real technical sections on the short loop. Tanja kept the contact with the leading group, did the hard job and was rewarded. With the points from the race she climb the ladder on the overall standings, but even more important – now she has a better start position for the Sunday’s race.
