The 2018 mountain bike World Championships in Lenzerheide are kicking off! Unior/Devinci Factory Racing will have four riders representing their respective country and two of them will be on very special bikes.
Devinci produced two custom Wilson 29, one for Dakotah Norton from USA, and one for Jure Žabjek from Slovenia. Dakotah’s frame is of course covered in red, white and blue with the stars representing the Home of the Brave. Jure’s bike will stand out a bit more as the frame is mainly white with red and blue accents. Bike geeks info – both riders will be on fully stock XL frames.
Customization continues up in front of the bikes where RockShox BoXXers shine in all their glory – of course with custom World Champs details. The guys over at Mudhugger and HT also helped with custom bits.
Builds are completed with SRAM’s X01 DH groupset, SRAM Blackbox CODE brakes, RaceFace Atlas wheels & cockpit, Maxxis tires, Lizard Skins Charger EVO grips, SDG Components I-Beam saddle & post combo and E*Thirteen chain guide.
Dakotah & Jure are both after a new personal’s best result at the World Champs this year. So far Jure holds a better mark – 30th place from 2016 World Champs in Val di Sole… But that is not even close to what they are aiming for this weekend. Will these amazing custom bikes help them to get on the podium? Will see in the next few days!
