RACING: ENDURO, DH      AGE: 22       HOME TOWN: Whistler, BC

How would you describe yourself in one sentence?
Happiest when I get to enjoy the simple things in life surrounded by a good group of friends.

Best moment of 2019 season?
Winning Garbo DH for the 2nd year in a row.

Your goal for this season?
I would like to become a top 10 contender across the board for all Crankworx events I enter.
Working on my hardtail skills and mastering my racing mindset will be key to get there.

Your main Inspiration?
Athletes that remain down to earth and grounded with their beliefs as they were before making it big.
Humble and considerate professional athletes like my buddies Claire Buchar and Casey Brown are inspiring, and so great to hang out with!

Growing up, who did you most like to emulate on your riding?
I didn’t start riding, or even following biking until I was 17 and racing my last year of Junior. My first trip overseas was with Vaea, Claire and Miranda to Andorra World Champs 2015. It was a super rainy week and just an insane experience. I don’t think I could have had a cooler group of girls to look up to than my Canadian pals.

If you could transfer your riding skills to any other sport, what would it be?
I grew up snowboarding, playing hockey and kiteboarding. Biking showed up in my life a little later on and somehow, my biking skills progressed quicker than in any of my other favorite sports.
I still snowboard in the winters, play in a hockey league, and I kite maybe once or twice a year. I wish that as a kid I was more into snowboarding competitions and I kept up with it a little longer. The snowboard industry has a sweet skate and surf vibe.

Favorite post–race snack?
I could happily eat peanut butter or avocado on toast any day.

Favorite race?
National or provincial enduros always end up being the most fun. Transitions and snacks with friends all day long.
Although the race that seems to call to both of my best suits is Garbo DH during Whistler Crankworx. Perfect mix of DH and enduro.

Favorite place to ride?
Pemberton, BC.
